Portrait Ordering Information
A hand drawn or painted portrait makes an excellent gift for a special occasion or holiday. Or perhaps you would like art as a unique addition to your own home. If you wish, a drawing or painting can be made using one of your favorite photographs. Digital photos can be sent to Arlene via email, or photo prints may be sent through the regular mail. If you are in the Central Maine area, a portrait can also be created by meeting in person, with Arlene working from life and/or taking her own photos to work from.
Please follow these steps to make ordering easy.
1) Contact Arlene by Arlene by email or call 207-582-4267, with your request, letting her know which type of portrait you would like, whether it is an oil painting, watercolor painting, charcoal drawing, pencil drawing or color pencil drawing. Also include what size you would like your art to be and whether you want the portrait of one person or more, or a pet. If you want to send a photo, attach it. Arlene will respond to your message, and let you know if the photo will be adequate to work with.
2) Once you have heard back from Arlene, you will receive a Paypal invoice for a 50% deposit. When your deposit has been received, she will create your art. Upon completion, you will be billed again through Paypal for the balance. Shipping costs will be estimated and added when orders are accepted.
3) Your art will be shipped to you. Please be sure to provide your correct mailing address for shipping. Most portrait orders can be completed within 2-3 weeks.

Standard sizes and prices for a single portrait are listed here. Pricing for other sizes, or for portraits that include more than one person must be estimated individually. Please ask the artist for a price quote for your unique request.
